Australia Post Delivery Has Arrived at Hills Pet Mates 📦🐾

We have some exciting news from our little pet shop in Cherrybrook — Hills Pet Mates now offers Australia Post delivery on selected products!

Until now, most of our deliveries have stayed fairly close to home. We love looking after our customers around Cherrybrook and the surrounding Hills District, but we also kept hearing from pet parents a little further away who wanted to order from us.

So, we’ve added another option. 🐾

What does Australia Post delivery mean for HPM?

Some pet products are perfect for popping into a parcel and sending through Australia Post — things like selected toys, grooming products, supplements, collars and other smaller pet essentials.

Eligible products can now be ordered from HPM and delivered via Australia Post, giving more pet parents access to our range beyond our local delivery area.

Our larger and heavier products — particularly big bags of pet food and cat litter — will continue to use our existing delivery and pickup options where available.

Basically, we aren't going to try squeezing a giant bag of cat litter into an Australia Post satchel. 😄

How do I know if a product can be sent by Australia Post?

We’re gradually identifying and enabling suitable products from our range for Australia Post delivery.

You’ll see an Australia Post label on the product details page when a product is eligible for Australia Post delivery.

If the products in your order are eligible, the available Australia Post delivery option will appear during checkout.

If your cart contains products that aren't suitable for Australia Post, you can still choose from the other delivery or pickup options available for your location.

Are local HPM deliveries changing?

Nope. ❤️

Our local delivery service isn't going anywhere.

If you're within our local delivery area, you'll still have access to the HPM delivery options available for your postcode. And FREE Pickup from Cherrybrook remains available on selected products.

Australia Post simply gives us another way to get suitable products to pet parents who live further away.

Why are we adding it?

Hills Pet Mates is still a small, independent pet store, and we're growing things one step at a time.

Since opening, we've been learning a lot from the people who actually shop with us — what products you're looking for, how you prefer to receive your orders, and where we can make things easier.

Adding Australia Post is another small step in that journey.

It means we can stock some of those useful smaller products without limiting them only to customers who happen to live near Cherrybrook.

And hopefully, it means a few more dogs, cats and other little mates around Australia get a parcel from HPM. 🐶🐱📦

We're adding Australia Post eligibility across our range progressively, so you may notice more products becoming available for postage over time.
